Connecticut voters preparing for the November 3 state election have until Friday, October 16 to complete regular pre-election registration, according to the Secretary of the State’s published deadline sheet. Eligible residents who miss that deadline can still use designated same-day registration sites during early voting or on Election Day.

Online registration must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. October 16. Mailed applications need an October 16 or earlier postmark. The state directs residents registering in person to visit their Registrar of Voters between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. that day. Applications through the DMV or another voter-registration agency must be completed by that agency’s close of business October 16.

The state lists same-day registration as available during all early-voting hours from October 19 through November 1 and on Election Day, November 3. Residents must use their town’s designated same-day registration location. Check local instructions before traveling rather than assuming an ordinary polling place provides registration.

The official MyVote.CT.gov information page links to registration-status lookup, online registration updates, early-voting locations, Election Day polling-location lookup, absentee-ballot information and the November 3 town sample ballots. Reviewing the correct town and voting-district ballot helps residents identify the contests they will vote in.

Early-voting locations and Election Day polling places are separate resources; verify the location for the method of voting you plan to use. The state also provides voter identification requirements and guidance for voters of all abilities. This guide points readers to official public tools; it does not publish individual voter records or establish how anyone voted.
