MANSFIELD — State police say a driver was traveling about 95 mph through a posted 30-mph area of Route 44 near Bonemill Road Tuesday evening, October 13.

According to a CSP News release checked October 14, a Troop C trooper patrolling around 6:17 p.m. used radar to measure an eastbound Nissan Sentra's speed. The trooper activated the cruiser's lights and siren to stop it.

Police identified the driver as 19-year-old Ivan McKenzie of Mansfield and said an adult passenger was in the car. McKenzie was processed at Troop C on charges of reckless driving and second-degree reckless endangerment, the agency said.

The release reports a $1,500 non-surety bond and an October 27 arraignment at Rockville Superior Court. The charges are allegations, not convictions. This brief relies on the agency's account; a court disposition was not available in the material reviewed.
