The Northeastern Connecticut Transit District’s public Facebook page announced Wednesday, October 14, that there would be no Plainfield afternoon bus that day. WINY Radio also shared the same notice; that shared copy is not independent confirmation.
The original notice does not state a cause, identify particular departure times or announce replacement transportation. Riders should contact NECTD at 860-774-3902 to confirm their trip before going to a stop. The number matches the district’s website and Connecticut’s public transit directory.
This is a public-transit service notice, not an announcement that Plainfield school buses or every NECTD route are canceled. No broader cancellation is established by the post.
