PUTNAM — Police are seeking information about a hit-and-run that left a 28-year-old pedestrian seriously injured on School Street late October 9, according to WFSB, WTNH and CT Insider accounts citing the department.
An approximately 11 p.m. call brought officers to the area, where they found the woman on the sidewalk. Witnesses had begun helping her before first responders arrived. The published accounts place the incident in the 100 block rather than identifying a private residence.
Witnesses described a white sedan that traveled west toward downtown after the collision. WFSB reports that physical evidence suggests the car may be a Nissan, with damage to its front end, passenger-side headlight and mirror. The make remains an investigative lead, not a confirmed vehicle identification.
WTNH’s account, available through AOL, says the woman was taken to Day Kimball Hospital before a LIFE STAR transfer to Hartford Hospital. It reported stable condition at the time of that October 10 update; this does not establish her condition today.
CT Insider provides the public appeal: people with information can contact Officer Justin Le at 860-928-6565 or the department’s tip line at 860-963-0000. The Detective Unit was assisting with the investigation.
The department’s full October 10 release confirms the reported sequence and tentative vehicle description. It said the Detective Unit was assisting and the investigation remained active at the time of that release. No later identification, arrest or condition update has been verified.
