THOMPSON — Six East Thompson Volunteer Fire Department members are continuing their Firefighter II program, according to a training update the department posted October 13.
The department said the students have covered firefighter CPR, foam systems, sprinkler systems, Mayday procedures, hose testing and propane fires. The update describes work completed during the program rather than a response to an actual emergency.
About four weeks remained in the program when the department posted the update. It expressed pride in the six participants; it did not announce that they had completed the course or received certification.
The department did not provide exact dates for the individual exercises or a final completion date in the announcement.
