WINDHAM — A tuition-free business academy at Eastern Connecticut State University is scheduled October 13 through November 12, with ten classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Student Center.

Eastern announced the fall program September 22. Liberty Bank’s current session schedule independently lists the same dates and times. This report covers the published program; attendance at its first session has not been independently verified.

Eastern faculty will teach banking and credit reporting, organizational structure, business planning, financial management, risk management and tax planning. The Small Business Resource Center is a partnership involving Eastern’s College of Business, Liberty Bank and the Town of Windham.

Completion brings a certificate and an invitation to apply for a $5,000 business line of credit. The financing is not a grant or guaranteed loan: Liberty Bank requires full participation, an application and satisfaction of its eligibility conditions.

The university says twelve entrepreneurs joined the inaugural 2025 academy. The fall 2026 program continues that local-business education effort.

Owners seeking details, registration availability after the start date or later sessions should use Liberty Bank’s academy page or contact Eastern’s center at sbrc@easternct.edu. No late-enrollment availability is assumed.
